From time to time, our practice takes part in Protected Learning Time (PLT) sessions.
These sessions are organised across local GP surgeries to allow doctors, nurses, and practice staff to take part in essential training and professional development.
PLT sessions help our team to:

Keep up to date with the latest medical guidance and treatments

Improve patient care and safety

Develop new skills and knowledge

Work with other local healthcare professionals to share best practice
This dedicated time ensures we continue to provide the highest standard of care to our patients.
On PLT Days, the surgery will close for part of the day — from 12.30pm — to allow staff to attend training.
We refer to this as a half-day closure.
