  • DR RAFFAT AKHTAR

    Senior Partner - MBBS BSc MRCGP DFSRH

    Dr Akhtar joined the practice in August 2016. She has been working in the North Warwickshire area for several years and is familiar with all aspects of general practice. She qualified in 1997, gained her MRCGP in 2009 and has a special interest in Family Planning. Dr Akhtar is fluent in English, Urdu, Punjab, Hindi and Arabic.

  • DR AMAN AHMAD

    Partner - MBBS MRCGP

    Dr Ahmad joined the practice in January 2017 but has been working in the North Warwickshire area for several years and is familiar with all aspects of general practice. He qualified in Pakistan in 1997, completing his MRCGP in 2013. Dr Ahmad has a special interest in Minor Surgery. He is fluent in English and Urdu.

  • DR IFFAT IMTIAZ

    MBBS MRCGP

    Dr Imtiaz joined the practice in August 2023. She has worked in the North Warwickshire area for many years and is familiar with all aspects of General Practice. She qualified in 1997 and gained her MRCGP in 2014. She has a special interest in Mental Health, Women’s Health and teaching. Dr Imtiaz is fluent in English, Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi and Arabic.

Advanced Nurse Practitioners

  • CLAIRE PAGETT

    Claire joined the Practice in August 2022 as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) and qualified in 2000. She has a background of working in A&E and General Practice. Claire will work alongside our GP’s to provide medical care, treatment and support for our patients.

  • TARAN GILL

    Taran Gill Joined the practice in October 2023 as Advanced Nurse Practitioner. Taran has a wealth of primary care experience working in this role previously at another GP surgery for several years in another county. Her past working career has included working as a nurse and midwife. She works Tuesday – Thursday weekly and now routinely undertakes duty cover responsibilities for patients with urgent on the day problems.

Nurses

  • GUWINDER KAUR

    Guwinder, who has returned to us after two years, as a Practice Nurse. Guwinder has many years nursing experience and has a special interest in diabetes management.

  • KARLA THOMPSON

    Karla joined our Team in May 2021 as a Practice Nurse. She has worked as a nurse for 5 years, with a nursing degree and an additional degree in Practice Nursing. Karla worked as a community support worker for six years prior to this. She has a special interest in diabetes management.

  • HOLLIE MCERLEAN

    Hollie joined our team in May 2022 as a Practice Nurse, with experience of working in General Practice. She has a special interest in women’s health and asthma management.

  • ANDREA WAKEFORD-DAVY

    Andrea joined our team in June 2024 as Practice Nurse; she has many years experience in GP Practice. Andrea is a qualified prescriber and has special interests in diabetes, asthma and COPD management.

Healthcare Assistants

  • ELIZABETH HARROLD

    Beth joined the surgery in September 2017. Her role is providing various supporting duties to the nursing team and doctors as well as running clinics such as patient health checks.

Practice Management

  • TINA STORER

    Practice Manager

    Tina joined the practice September 2015 from a background of 15 years experience within NHS Primary Care, the last 11 of which have been in Practice Management. Tina is responsible for the day to day operation of the practice with duties including facilities management, HR function, Information Governance, service provision and contracts. She is responsible for all aspects of financial management of the practice. Tina is happy to discuss any queries, comments or suggestions regarding the day to day running of the practice.

  • JOANNE MOULTON

    Deputy Practice Manager

    Joanne joined the Practice in August 2017, with 14 year’s experience of working in General Practice. Joanne supports Tina Storer, Practice Manager, in the day to day running of the Practice to ensure a high quality service and level of care for patients. Joanne has recently passed her Level 5 Diploma in Primary Care and Health Management.

Administration

With the changing face of the NHS the Practice employs a small team who are responsible for data inputting, calling patients for annual reviews, collecting data for other NHS organisations and facilitating our online services. This data forms the basis upon which decisions are made on services both new and old.

Reception

The Practice has a number of part time Patient Service Advisors responsible to the practice manager, who cover the telephones and undertake administrative duties. All Patient Service Advisors receive intensive training and comply with the policies of Arbury Medical Centre as laid down by the doctors.

Secretaries

Our Medical Secretary deals with all referrals to secondary care services utilising the NHS e-referral system and types medical reports and other clinical correspondence.

Community Midwives

The community midwives run the antenatal clinics, attend deliveries in the GP maternity unit at the George Eliot Hospital, and provide postnatal care.

Community Nurses

District nurses have great expertise in providing care for patients in their own homes. A referral may be made to the district nursing team by the hospital, or by your GP.

Health Visitors

The health visitors attached to the practice are very experienced in dealing with health matters in children under five. The health visitors may be contacted directly on 024 7686 5542.

Additional Staff

Arbury is able to offer appointments, advice/guidance via our network team based at the surgery. These include First Contact Physio, Mental Health Link Worker, Care Coordinator, Social Prescriber, Dietician, Clinical Pharmacists and Physician's Associate.
