Test results

If you have had a blood or urine test, please phone the surgery after 11am 3-5 days later and the receptionist will give you the result as directed by the doctor or nurse.

The receptionist will not be able to discuss the results in any way.

Some tests, e.g. X-Rays may take considerably longer and 7-10 days should be allowed.

The surgery will only contact you if the test results are very serious and the doctor wishes to see you urgently within 2-3 days.

If your test results show that you need more tests or treatment, we will contact you.

Once a doctor has reviewed your test results, you can view them:

• in your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
• in your online service account
• phone or visit us after11am and we will tell you what the results are
